I saw a broadband push in the last couple of days both in Europe and the US. I use an ADSL connection myself, and I like it a lot, but I just wonder how much politics is involved. I mean, people are really using their broadband connections to their full potential. Are more public services available over the internet? Are there any studies done about how people use the internet? Why politicians need to push a technology?

So, I studied algorithms, design principles, and the like. We are processing more and more information, we are heading fast forward into the information society, but what's the limit of this? Are we gonna apply an algorithm to everything? Well, there's a big wall ahead, and many of the fields in computer science are stucked there: semantics. People are trying to get around, but no big succes so far. To be continued ...

Hm, it seems that only some bloggers are invited to sign up for GMail. Probably you need some karma points to get through.
The reason I started this blog: well, I read on some other blog that users of blogger.com can get a GMail account. I look around, and it seems this is not available yet, but anyway, I'll keep this blog. Reasons can change, aren't they?
